About the Design
In 1681, William Penn named the city Philadelphia, which is Greek for "brotherly love." In 1933, drawing inspiration from the Blue Eagle insignia of the National Recovery Administration, the owners of the new football franchise in Philadelphia named the team the Eagles. In the 2017 season the team won Super Bowl LII, their first Super Bowl win in franchise history. "Fly Eagles Fly."
