About the Design
The City of Los Angeles, L.A., the largest city in California, the City of Angels.
The franchise began in 1947, playing in Minneapolis, calling themselves the Minneapolis Lakers. After struggling financially in the late 1950s, they relocated to Los Angeles before the 1960–61 season.
Sixteen championships, Twenty-six Hall of Famers, Four MVP's have won a total of eight awards.
The 1980s Lakers were nicknamed "Showtime" due to their fast break-offense led by Magic Johnson.
